A Historic School

Trinity Lutheran School has been in operation for over 130 years. Throughout those years, the school has served thousands of students and has seen many building changes and additions, but the purpose of the school has remained the same. All aspects of Trinity Lutheran School are grounded in God's Word and in the goal of sharing that Word with the children Trinity serves.

Facilities

Activity Center

Trinity's Activity Center is used for many family activities, social gatherings, and other events, as well as teaching physical education. Built in 1998, the activity center houses a high school-sized gymnasium, a spacious mezzanine used for Vacation Bible School each summer, family events, and gatherings, a kitchen, and a lunch room.

Classrooms

Trinity's classrooms are equipped to meet the needs of our students. Our new facility was completed in August of 2015, and was built with young children in mind. The preschool classroom consists of several learning centers, tables for eating and creating, spaces for large and small group activities, and a place for each child's belongings. The kindergarten classroom also includes various learning centers, tables for students to work at, and a large group gathering space.

Technology

Digital cameras are used to document learning in both classrooms, and pictures are shared with and used by the children. Our classes also make use of SMARTboards, and, at times, other online resources.

Outdoor Space

Trinity has excellent outdoor space for physical activity at recess and during physical education class. We have a mix of green space and blacktop to accommodate many activities. We also have a large, fenced-in playground and swing set space for young children .

Trinity Lutheran Church

Our church is located across the street from the school and is where we worship each week for chapel. In chapel, our pastor presents a brief devotion and the children join in song. Our children also sing with their class or the entire school on a regular basis in worship with the congregation. Children learn about various aspects of worship and the Lutheran church at Trinity. At Christmas, our students participate in a children's Christmas service at church.

FVL Partnership

Trinity is a member of the FVL Schools partnership. As a part of FVL Schools, our students have access to many large-group activities using their facilities. Our Kindergarten attends FVL's annual Kinderfest day in the Spring. FVL Schools also includes many elementary schools where students can continue their Christian Education following their education at Trinity.
